Terms of Utility Service & Privacy Policy
1. What We Are
SanDiegoOutdoorKitchens.com ("the Utility," "we," "us") is a free lead-referral and information utility. We are not a licensed contractor, a licensed architect or engineering firm, and we do not perform outdoor kitchen construction, masonry, or utility work ourselves. We connect visitors with independent, third-party licensed contractors ("Partners") operating in San Diego County, California.
2. Lead-Referral Disclosure
When you submit a request through this site, your information (name, phone, email, ZIP, project details) is shared with one or more Partner contractors, who may contact you directly to discuss your project and provide an estimate. We may receive a referral fee from Partners for connecting you. This does not affect the price you are quoted.
3. Call & Contact Consent
This site does not display or provide a business telephone number, and no calls placed to any Partner through information you submit are recorded or monitored by this Utility. By submitting the intake form, you consent to be contacted by phone, text, and email by our Partner contractors regarding your request, consistent with California's two-party consent law (Penal Code §632) — no recording of any call occurs on our side.
4. Construction & Permitting Disclaimer
Outdoor kitchen construction involving gas, electrical, or plumbing connections should be performed by an appropriately licensed and insured contractor, in most cases permitted through your city or San Diego County, and — for properties within California's Coastal Zone — potentially subject to Coastal Development Permit review. Cost ranges, material comparisons, and permitting information published on this site are general educational information reflecting typical regional conditions — they are not a project-specific quote, an engineering opinion, or a permitting determination for your property. While we make reasonable efforts to match you with licensed Partners, we do not independently verify licensure, insurance, or bonding on every job and are not liable for the quality, timeliness, code-compliance, or outcome of any work performed by a Partner. Always verify a contractor's California licensure, insurance, and the required municipal or coastal permits before signing a contract.
5. Information We Collect & How It's Used
We collect the information you submit via our forms (name, contact info, ZIP, project type, timeline, budget tier) and standard analytics data (IP, device, referrer). This is used solely to route your request to an appropriate Partner and improve our matching service. We do not sell your data to unrelated third parties.
